I’m Thelma… lover of Jesus, coffee, donuts & naps.
I’m also a lover of words and people… of extending permission and acceptance for those in the midst of the storm. In this space we treasure grace (expected or otherwise) in the everyday… in moments both grand and mediocre.
I am a wife and spousal caregiver to my husband, Len. After walking through years of infertility, we found ourselves embracing our life as a complete family of two. Unlike most stories of infertility that end with children, we remain childless, though not without a miracle. We live humbly in the knowledge the peace and joy we feel here is a gift of pure grace.
I write to remind you that grief is real, joy is possible, and God is near, faithful and good. In the midst of suffering, we not only have permission to lament the dark, broken part of life, but also to be assured we live Emmanuel: God with us.
